Space on White is a socially conscious, artistically-centered collection of studios in Tribeca NYC. It allows individuals or organizations to rent spaces that cater to acting, music, dance, and the visual arts. Born through the inspiration of performing artist Chasten Harmon, Space on White encourages collaboration and growth for artists and their audiences. With open, spacious designs, Space on White provides a blank canvas to nurture the creativity and passion vital to an artist’s career.
—- As artists we discovered early that we had an innate desire to create and share. And we communicated our most sensitive feelings and ideas through our art and sought to inspire others by it. Along the way we found that in order to make money off the art we loved to create we had to submit it to the dishearteningly arbitrary scrutiny of directors, agents, and curators. It was from this place in our hearts that we created Space on White – that place where your creativity and talent is nurtured and protected. At our basis we provide a nurturing atmosphere for artists to condition themselves for auditions and evaluations in the industry. With Space on White, our passions don’t have to lead to a constant cycle of “choose me, choose me”. With Space on White artists now have a choice between “choose me”: “See me”, “Hear me”, and “Touch me”. - Chasten Harmon
