Space on White is a unique gallery space showcasing new visual artists each month.

Unlike a typical gallery, Space on White has daily traffic of performing artists and art-loving New Yorkers using and experiencing the space. Our Tribeca location is convenient for foot traffic as well as special events surrounding your work.

NYC Producing Companies Get Free + Discounted Space, Marketing, and Community Resources!

Space on White has revamped its Residency program to give NYC producing companies new opportunities to showcase their work!

Our 2012 residents will be a select group of up to five NYC-based companies with a demonstrated vision and plan of action for creating work in theatre, dance, music, or performance art.

Selected companies will receive space, promotional, and production support including:

• Complimentary space for one weekend in 2012 to produce an original show (Fri/Sat/Sun night)
• 15 complimentary hours of space
• Discounted space rental rates for additional hours
• Free storage space
• Free monthly meeting space
• Featured on Space on White website
• Posting of company events on Space on White social media
• Complimentary tuition for Promote Your Show workshop

Requirements:

• History of producing fully staged performances
• Website with current information on your company and its history
• Mission statement
• Audience mailing list
• Company budget/fiscal plan

Responsibilities:

• Production of at least one performance at Space on White during 2012
• Inclusion of Space on White on company website and relevant marketing materials
• Attendance at Space on White panels and events
• Residency administrative fee of $250, due January 1

Residency applications are due by Sunday, November 27.  Residency interviews will be conducted during the beginning of December  and selected residents will be notified by December 20.

Accepted Residents are invited to an in-person orientation with Space on White staff where they receive information, marketing tips, and network with other Residents. Space on White Residents continue the conversation via our invite-only Facebook group.

Space on White, the innovative space serving New York’s performing and visual arts communities, is giving emerging artists an opportunity to showcase their work in front of a wider audience of artists and art enthusiasts.

Now, instead of booking a solo show or housing your work in a space exclusively for visual arts, simply rent wall space in a place with daily traffic of artists across all disciplines, as well as their audiences. Plus, the many and varied special events in our space draws a wide audience of potential buyers in an atmosphere that loves art the way you do.

Special events held in the space will also draw a wider audience of potential buyers, providing a vibrant atmosphere in which art lovers are able to engage with and appreciate the work. Affordable wall rental rates range between $150 and $300 per month and event space begins at just $30 per hour.
