LARRY SINGER STUDIOS

LARRY SINGER is one of the leading acting teachers of his generation. Larry has an uncanny ability

to recognize an actor’s unique gifts and qualities; offering sound instruction so their talents fully

emerge while their skills develop exponentially. It is with 20 years of teaching experience that Larry

established the Larry Singer Studios in 2006. His Studio continues many of the rich traditions of Actor

Training, while exploring new methods to support every actor’s endeavor to prosper as an artist.

Larry offers classes in Acting Technique and Scene Study for working actors and those committed to

pursuing professional careers. Along with conducting his three professional studio classes (Monday

Evenings, Tuesday afternoons and Wednesday afternoons), workshops in Monologues, Career Counseling

and Voice are also offered. Finally, Intensives are taught during the Summer Months. Larry is currently a

faculty member of the MFA School of the Arts Theatre Program at Columbia University (since April 2002)

and Muhlenberg College (since January 2008).

and proud members of the Alliance of Resident Theatres (A.R.T) and Harlem Arts Alliance. Our

cultures are rooted in the storytelling tradition and goal is to generate a social movement that

showcases the country’s most talented artists who aspire to create unique ways of expressing the

stories of their own cultures and communities.

Our first official season began (Fall ‘08) with the creation of three initiatives - The Elevator Reading
